The client recently built this modern ‘retirement house’ themselves and wanted help on the garden.
To create a low maintenance garden they would sit in and enjoy with their family & friends. The challenge was to get the maximum out of the small irregular shaped space. The scheme involved both hard and soft landscaping. The clients began by adding in a conservatory which we incorporated into the design.
We used materials such as, Cotswold Edging & York Stone paving that the client, who had previously been a builder, already had. The garden plan included a planting plan, planting and supply of plants. The client did their own hard landscaping and improved the soil prior to planting. The design included three small lawns, and two patios, a new arbor, a number of evergreens and plenty of climbing plants to clothe the fences. We supplied all the plants and trees and assisted with layout and planting of them.
